I’m still searching fora really spicy cinnamon buttercream recipe, but until I find it, I use this one. It’s good, just not quite what I’m looking for.

You will need:

  • 2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter, at room temperature*
  • 1 T. milk**
  • 1 t. ground cinnamon**

*I found I needed more in my batch, you could also add a few tsp. shortening if you’re going to have the possibility of melting or if you want to pipe this frosting on.

**I added more.

Then you:

  1. Cream butter and sugar until it’s fluffy, scraping down bowl periodically.
  2. Add milk and cinnamon. Beat again until fluffy.
