The Book
Creator and writer of Bake and Destroy, “the food blog equivalent to a punch in the throat,” Natalie Slater, is excited to announce her first book, Bake and Destroy: Good Food for Bad Vegetarians.
As a resident food blogger at WTTW Chicago Tonight, and guest judge on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, she’s built a reputation for being “unique, boisterous and infused with rock & roll intensity.” Best known for drawing inspiration from unexpected places (such as TV, heavy metal and professional wrestling,) Natalie has struck a chord with experienced chefs and DIY novices alike.
With recipes ranging from French Toast Donuts to Nacho Cupcakes, Bake and Destroy is a cookbook for people who party hard in the kitchen. This book includes 50+ unique takes on comfort food including breakfast, starters and sides, entrees and desserts along with quirky serving suggestions, artwork by SEIBEI, a forward by pro-wrestler CM Punk and DIY cupcake decorations.
